About Myron Ferguson Myron Ferguson brings an engineer's experience and analysis to thinking about houses and describing what makes a home a better place to live. Since 1990 he has looked at, walked through and inspected over 2,800 new home in the United States, Canada and Chile and talked with owners, designers and architects about what makes a home work -- or not! Whether the home is a custom, an architect-designed house, or a tract home, Myron found that there are elements of design and the integration of systems that make a house more user-friendly. Too often, the details are for the convenience of the builder rather than the convenience of the people who will live in the house. Better Houses, Better Living is a continuing effort to right the balance. Prior to 1990, Myron was a telecommunications systems engineer. He helped bring satellite communications to the world, working on the first satellite stations on five continents. His education and decades of engineering work made paying attention to detail an inherent part of his way of looking at things. |
